The New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS)
administers the nation's most comprehensive system of services for substance
abusing populations. Each day, about 120,000 New Yorkers receive treatment
for alcohol and/or drug addiction from OASAS-licensed programs. Services are
delivered through a network of over 1,200 community-based providers. OASAS
also directly operates 13 Addiction Treatment Centers around the state. In
addition to treatment services, thousands of people benefit daily from
prevention initiatives carried out by OASAS-sponsored or licensed prevention
programs.

Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Providers of NYS (ASAP) represents the
interests of the largest alcoholism and substance abuse services system in
the United States. Our membership includes programs and agencies throughout
New York State which provide alcoholism and substance abuse prevention,
treatment, research and training. We also welcome membership from
coalitions, businesses, organizations and individuals who support ASAP's
mission. ASAP Prevention program members include both school and community
based programs.
