Underage Drinking: Truth & Consequences - A Forum for Youth & Family
4/20/2010

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?

• 49% of 8th, 10th and 11th graders surveyed stated they drank alcohol in the last 30 days (2009 ATOD Health Experience and Attitudes Survey)

• The Albany County use rate is HIGHER than the national average.

Whether your child is in elementary, middle or high school, this is a conversation for YOU!

The purpose of this forum is to increase community awareness on the issue of underage drinking, identify how underage drinking affects the community, and brainstorm possible solutions. The meeting will provide an opportunity for parents, teachers, officials, youth, and other community members to voice their concerns and suggest ideas for preventing young people from using alcohol.
