Overview of Family and Addiction
This training is designed for entry-level counselors in the addiction workforce wishing to develop family skills. The topics to be addressed include: family structure, function, and systems; the effect of addiction on family members; assessment of family problems and critical issues and strategies in treatment. Developing family treatment plans for children of alcoholics, children of substance abusers and addicted children will also be addressed.
