Proper Use of the DSM-IV-TR
The proper use of the DSM IV-TR will be covered in this training. Special attention will be paid to the Substance Use Disorders section. A brief historical review of the earlier editions as well as substance use changes in the current TR edition. Attention to the criteria and their appropriate use will be reviewed in depth. The use of all five axis and modifiers will also be covered.

Bio:
Sue Sulzman, LCSW, MAC, CASAC has over 35 years experience in the alcohol and substance abuse field. Having worked in every licensed treatment modality, in a wide variety of roles from counselor to director, she brings a wealth of clinical examples to all of her trainings. Additionally, Sue worked for DAAA and OASAS and has taught at most area colleges and universities. She is presently a consultant and trainer with Consultation and Training Services (CaTS) specializing in clinical and administrative aspects of addiction.
